The short answer, yes and no. This is a question I get REGULARLY, and honestly never knew how to answer it. There is clearly some intersectionality here between the two communities, but does one "cause" another? Is it purely chance?
As we dig deeper into this, you'll see that this question only scratches the surface of the deeper issues around understand those who are neurodiverse and those who are members of the queer community. What can the two communities learn from one another? Are we marginalizing people by applying these labels, or are we giving identity and validity to people?
