T’ai chi was developed as a martial art form of qigong, and it is practiced for defense training, health benefits, and meditation. T’ai chi is known for its slow, fluid movements, however a multitude of traditional and modern training forms exist to address the goals of the user, including secondary forms with a faster pace.
