Sexual health refers to a state of physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being in relation to sexuality; it is a fundamental part of our overall health. Every person, regardless of gender or sexual identity, has the right to knowledge, secure boundaries, and access to healthcare, as well as enthusiastic consensual sexual experiences free from discrimination, coercion, and violence. The first steps to empowered sexual health is listening to and understanding our own bodies and learning to set—and respect—clear boundaries with partners.
