Plant-based medicine is the ancient practice of using plants and their components to aid in our health. Plant-based medicine is not mutually exclusive to modern pharmaceutical and synthetic medicines: aspirin (from willow bark), quinine (from cinchona bark), and morphine (from the opium poppy) are all examples of plant-based medicine. As with all medical treatments, guidance should always be under the supervision of an expert medical professional.
