Karma

Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning “action.” It refers to the entire cycle of cause-and-effect where our actions—and the intentions and consequences of our actions—directly influence our future. It is an important concept in many Eastern religions, particularly Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism, where the sum total of the force produced by a person’s actions and intentions in this lifetime (and previous lives) influences the person’s next incarnation in samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth. It’s a dynamic force and dynamic energy system that responds to our every action.
