Mary Baker Eddy



Mary Baker Eddy (1821–1910) was an American religious leader, writer, speaker, and founder of The Church of Christ, Scientist, in New England in 1879. She also founded and published the Christian Science Monitor. She openly challenged conventional thinking in theology, science and medicine, and social norms imposed on women.
