Frances Vaughan



Frances Vaughan, PhD, (d. 2017) was an American psychotherapist, author, speaker, teacher, and pioneer in the field of transpersonal psychology, serving as a board member of the International Transpersonal Association, president of the Association of Transpersonal Psychology, and editor of The Journal of Transpersonal Psychology. As a participant in an early legal study of psychedelics, she had a profound mystical experience that inspired her exploration of various spiritual traditions.
