In order to have faith in God, we need to have knowledge of God. Who is God? What does He do? What is considered an authentic source of this knowledge?
Affliction is often that thing which prepares an ordinary person for some sort of an extraordinary destiny.

I seemed to hear God saying, ‘Put down your gun and we’ll talk.’

I gave in, and admitted that God was God.
Progress means getting nearer to the place you want to be. And if you have taken a wrong turn, then to go forward does not get you any nearer.
Much can be gained from trailing the spiritual narratives of those who have traveled ahead of us, for the God they have found, we may never have considered.
