Feminism, when you look at it as Gloria Steinem does, as the recognition of the full humanity and full equality of both men and women, is peace work
Thinking more explicitly about cultural catalysis can help to accomplish in years what otherwise would require decades or not take place at all. As we experiment with cultural catalysis, we need to make it fast and benign rather than fast and pathological for the common good.
As Buddhist teaching says, suffering has the potential to deepen our compassion and understanding of the human condition. And in so doing, it can lead us to even greater faith, joy and well-being.
