We have all experienced, at one time or another, situations in which our professional responsibilities unexpectedly come into conflict with our deepest values.
We all love to think of ourselves as honourable and decent people. If I were to cite the most virtuous of values, I believe there would be few people who wouldn’t count courage among their own.
People can change how they think and communicate. They can treat themselves with much more respect, and they can learn from their limitations without hating themselves.
