The line between failure and success can come down to something as simple as self-talk. Powerful and positive self-talk can change your entire mindset, which can affect your actions.
Self-talk is your internal dialogue. It’s influenced by your subconscious mind, and it reveals your thoughts, beliefs, questions, and ideas.
At a retreat in the late 1990s, Buddhist teacher, Mary Orr, told us an eye-opening tale. She was in the middle of a harried day in which she had too much to do and too little time in which to do it.
very often even the most talented and intelligent artists don’t see their positive qualities and achievements from an objective perspective. They notice their weaknesses and fail to attain their objectives. In my opinion, most artists could use a lesson on how to improve self-esteem.
