The life of an entrepreneur isn’t necessarily easy. As the pop-culture phrase has it: “The struggle is real.”
One way to find balance is to separate work from your outside life entirely, and leave science in the lab. But I see it differently: I have found joy and balance by joining my research and hobbies.
Our tendency to work too much is neither arbitrary nor sinister: it’s a side effect of the haphazard nature in which we allow our efforts to unfold.
One of the biggest challenges in meeting any goal, whether it be related to productivity, waking early, changing a habit, exercising, or just becoming happier, is finding the motivation to stick with it.
