I would love to go vegetarian, but every time I try cutting meat from my diet, I end up really, really, REALLY hungry. What am I doing wrong?

The average British carnivore eats more than 11,000 animals in their lifetime, each requiring vast amounts of land, fuel and water to reach the plate. It's time to think of waste as well as taste.
There are plenty of reasons to try the vegetarian diet, including reduced animal cruelty, helping the environment and of course, losing weight. But a vegetarian diet isn’t always a guaranteed way to drop pounds.
Vegans and vegetarians choose not to eat meat. However, veganism is stricter and also prohibits dairy, eggs, honey, and any other items that derive from animal products, such as leather and silk.
Many people adopt a vegetarian diet in an effort to boost their health or reduce their risk for disease. Certainly, the benefits of a plant-based diet are well documented. But not all vegetarian diets are nutritious.
Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants. That, more or less, is the short answer to the supposedly incredibly complicated and confusing question of what we humans should eat in order to be maximally healthy.
